Fort to Sea Hike Shuttle Reservations

The Fort to Sea hike shuttle is offered on the first Sunday of each month through March 2027, subject to minimum enrollment and trail conditions.

Register by Friday at noon. A minimum of five registered hikers is required for the shuttle to run. Everyone must register, including guests using the free-with-Seaside-lodging offer.

Wait for Your Confirmation

We’ll send a confirmation or cancellation notice by Friday evening, along with final meeting instructions.

Please do not head to the meeting location unless you have registered and received confirmation. No walk-up service is available. If the departure is not confirmed, the shuttle will not be at the meeting location.

How the Shuttle Works

1. Register and wait for your departure confirmation.

2. Meet at 9:00 AM and park at the designated Sunset Beach meeting location.

3. Ride the shuttle to the Fort Clatsop trailhead.

4. Hike the Fort to Sea Trail back to your vehicle at your own pace.

This is a self-guided hike; a hiking guide is not included. Review the trail’s distance, terrain, and difficulty before registering, and bring appropriate clothing, water, and supplies.

Shuttle ride: $10 per person. Payment is collected on the day of the shuttle. Free with proof of an overnight stay in Seaside.

Weather and Cancellations

Departures may change or be canceled due to severe weather, park access, or unsafe trail conditions. Registered hikers will be contacted, and the Current hike status at the top of this page will be updated.
